Supraventriculacardatachia Wed. Aug 31, 2011

Is that one word or two? Did he scare us? Yes he did! Michelle went to work this morning and said "What is a crash cart doing outside my Daddy's room?" His heart was up to 190-200 beats per min. Dr. North got there and gave him a shot of something and all Mike could tell me was it was a really big needle.

His day was not the greatest although he did have a shower which I'm sure felt pretty dang good. We are all worried about him, his stomach is distended and hard. Michelle and I met with Jed the night RN who was super nice. Michelle went over his labs and everything looks OK except the potassium. We finally got it across to Jed that Mike's protruding belly was not normal. So they are working on that problem tonight. We are all concerned that he looked better while he was in ICU than he did today. He should be getting better not worse. Hopefully tomorrow things will be better.

We have to get him better or he cannot face a surgery to remove the tumor in his pancreas. I just sat there by his bed this morning and had another really good cry. Guess that is going to happen now and again when I least expect it. Thanks so much to my sister for being there when I need her. She has had such a rough time herself and she is still willing to lend me her shoulder. Gaye too has been such a support and I don't know what I would do without friends and our kids. I have to mention Kaki and John who stop by the hospital every day and offer to help in any way. I am so thankful for family and friends, prayers and thoughts. Love you all, Barbara
