Hello Everyone! We are so looking forward to getting away and riding. Food has been assigned and it sounds great. Thanks Michelle who got it written down so we had somewhat of a plan. Marrit is going to make home made ice cream. It sounds wonderful, I can't remember the last time I had it, a long time ago I'm guessing.
Michelle was down yesterday and we were bouncing lunch ideas around. Three days of peanut butter and jelly or lunch meat sounded a bit boring. We decided that if we took a one plate burner and fry pan we could have hot dogs and chips. What do you all think? It reminded me of going to Overton with Scott and Lindy. Quick & easey but not a sandwich. Crissy and Walker are coming, it will be fun for Walker to see us at our (best?) We always have such a great time and I am really feeling like I want to have my own bike. (Hey Grandpa H. will you loan me your bike?)
Mike and I tended Parker and Brooklynn, thanks Kody and Kamree for your help. Parker got very home sick for his Mom. But it was really fun to have them sleep over. We are also looking forward to seeing Nate and Jaymie who we haven't got to see much this summer. I did have Jaymie a couple of days and we had a good time together.
Kirt, Marrit, Michell & kids and Gramp and I are going Thursday morning. They plan to hike Bryce Canyon, so everyone else come as soon as you can. We are going to have such a good time.
Love to all see you soon. Grams

Marsha
July 10, 2010, my beautiful sister Marsha went home to her Heavenly Father. Just to be present at her passing, although hard, gave me renewed strengh to live a little better and be a little kinder. She never complained although she was surely in severe pain most of the time. She went to work and spent her day with a smile on her face and kindness in her heart. Marsha was the ultimate giver of herself and her only regret at leaving this life was that she would not be here to see her beautiful grandchildren grow up. She was at peace with her life and with her children's lives.
Marsh and I became the greatest of friends and best of sisters when we had our babies together three to be exact. The first two, were boys born just two weeks apart. Mine Oct. 28th & 30th and hers Nov. 16th & 18th. Later she had a beautiful baby girl, JoAnn, on March 24th. Michelle was supposed to make her debut March 3rd. As usual I held on to her until the doctor finally induced labor on March 30th. I don't know what I would have done had she not been a girl. Marsh and I dressed them alike just like twins. JoAnn although bald always had a bow stuck to her head with Karo syrup. We went on picnics, swimming at Veyo, county fairs and shopping at the ABC shop. Shopping was a wonderful event when we had enough money to buy them new outfits or dresses. Not too long ago Marsha asked me if I remembered "Midnight Madness" how could I forget. We went early to St. George to scope out the dresses and outfits by first, second and third choices. Both of us had to be careful of how much money we spent.
We made cut-out cakes for birthdays and celebrated every holiday with all the fun and flair we could muster. We made tons of quilts and blankets with help from my Mom who loved helping both of us. Marsha was the most beautiful quilter and had the tiniest stitches. Mine are longer and even stitches, but hers were petite just like her. We took on a big project and made Mom and Dad Hulet a quilt for their bed. Lois called it her "summer quilt."
In saying my goodbyes yesterday I whispered in her ear could she please give my Mom and Connie a hug for me. I will treasure each memory and moment I have shared with Marsha. I will miss her always and never forget what a gracious and beautiful person she was.
Love, Barbara

Fourth of July 2010
Thank goodness my kids are coming home soon. Don't get me wrong it's good to spend time with me. But as my Dad often said, "I'm feeling lower than a well digger's butt." (not quoted exactly) The phrase always gave me a real mental picture. It's not that I begrudge any of you holiday time without the "grams" but it suddenly occurred to me that I had totally spaced out the fourth of July shirts. I cried.
Scott it sounded like you and Lindy were having the time of your life. Michelle and Marrit I'm so glad you could be together for a while. The swimming and ballgame sounded really fun and I'm so glad you invited Crissy. It sounds like her job wasn't what she thought it was.
I am looking forward to our camping trip the 1st of August. Do you think the kids will expect games like "whack the cracker?" Maybe we could have a poker tournament (or old maid) in the condo?
Love you all, Mom

Water babies
I can't get all the pictures I want on this blog. It seems like I should be able to have more. Marrit took us to the river, it was so pretty and calm. We had a picnic and Parker swam around with his life jacket. We had such a good time, just doing nothing but watching the kids. They are a couple of water puppies. Love you all, Mom
