Get up on do somingthing

Sept. 9th 2012

I woke up with a headache and it's 9:30p and I still have it.  I didn't go to church but I should have.  My head is not better.  I just have to keep going and keep busy.  So much better when I'm busy.  I do have things to look forward to and that is a very good thing.  Dinner tomorrow night for Gaye's birthday.  I am looking forward to seeing them all again.  I have to go shopping tomorrow, no bread, low milk and some ingrediants I want to get to try from Pintrest.

I am going to Marrits on the 17th and staying for a week.  Kaki and John have invited me to ride down with them.  It is so nice of them to ask me.  They are such great people and they love Boomer almost as much as I do.  I am excited to see Parker and Brooklynn.

Mona and I are planning a trip to St. George on the 25th.  She has to go to the dentist and then we can go shopping and out to eat. So glad we can get together.

Scott is trying to order the material for my gates.  Home Depot is having a hard time finding what I want.  Although we found it on their web site.  I'm going to be happy to have gates it's going to finish up the yard and make it look so nice.

Okay I'm going to do better tomorrow.  Plan something, make a list, keep busy, pull up my big girl panties (again).

Love to all, Mom

Friday August 31, 2012

It rained today, so nice.  It makes everything so clean.  Did a little work around the house.  Read a book, Destiny of a Republic all about Pres. James Garfield.  A fasinating man, who was asassinated early into his presidency.  An odd fact and I love odd fact was the phrase "Ignorance is Bliss" came about because of Dr. Bliss who treated Garfield after he was shot.  The President would have lived if he had only been left untreated by Dr. Bliss who didn't believe in Lister's antiseptic treatment.

I washed, pulled a few weeds, talked to all the kids and am trying to get to bedtime.  I hope I have a more interesting day tomorrow.  I keep telling myself there are going to be days like this.  Just not busy enough.  I went for a drive to the cemetary.  I guess that the wind had blown pretty hard because some of the flowerrs were on the ground.  I tried to put them back so they would stay.  But you never know around here.

The flowers are beautiful, the rain has helped so much.

Bless My Friends!

Monday Joyce and I went to the Equestrian Point R.S. presidency meeting at Mckenzies.  It was nice to get to know them better although Patty and I are good friends already.  Then at 2:00p my turn to have Stake Presidency meeting at my house.  I cleaned and cleaned.  Michelle thought I was being rediculous.  But they stayed for a long time and looked at all the old stuff and my yard.  So over cleaning was worth it.  I helped Michelle (some) do 12 quarts of tomato juice.  I left at 9:00p.  She was still working.  Her family pictures are so cute.
Kirstin asked them what they did when they made a good shot.  This is what they do.  Fun.

Look at those beautiful eyes.

A model, how pretty!

For some reason I can't upload Kody and Kyler's pictures I will add them later.

Maydean called me earlier this week and wanted to go to lunch.  Minty, May, and Linda and I went to Sizzler.  May and I wanted to go to Pastry Pub, but Mrs. Doubtfire (Linda) said there was too many people.  So much to our (May and I) quiet dismay we ended up at Sizz.  But love the company and May said her and I would go alone to the Pub one day.  So then we went to the movie in the afternoon.

Today was Michelle and Shawn's 20th anniversary.  They went to Kathrines in Mesquite.  So glad they go to celebrate.

This week is Fast Sunday and a presidency meeting at Jana Bishops the Beacon Hills Ward.  Meetings, Meetings, and minutes.  Keeps me busy and that is a very good thing.

Love to all,

Mom
Hulet Family

Bless Lindy and Rena and Michellle for pulling off the Hulet reunion.  Grandpa was so pleased and there were so many people there just a very few exceptions.  Scott cooked hamburgers and hotdogs and we all brought potluck.  I couldn't believe that we had such a variety of food and it was all so good.  We had a photographer there Kurstin, who did Crissy's wedding and the pix of my family on Mike's birthday.  She was great and so patient with some 60 + people.

This post is out order and was before I went to California.  But I really wanted to add the pictures from that event.  The Auqatic Center was rented and the kids had a wonderful time.

V A C A T I O N at the beach!

Wow, I haven't written on this blog for ages.  I have written in my journal so not too bad.  I just couldn't write all the different emotions I have been going through.  Things seem to be a bit better for me and I only cry sometimes now.  I do seriously feel mad that I am alone until I remember that Mike didn't want to leave. So I go on.  It's very lonely even with all the friends and family I have.  I am blessed and I try to remember that.

August 10th I went to Cayucas CA. I drove my car and Carole Mattice went with me at Scott and Lindy's invitation.  I'm sure they could have done very well without us but, I enjoyed it so much and appreciate my kids for putting up with me.  The ocean was theraputic for me.  I read four books, took a gazillion pictures, shopped, gained five pounds and loved every minute of it.  Nate and Jaymie were such fun to watch and it was so good to spend all that time with them.

Since getting back, my flowers have exploded all over the place. Next year I hope to do better planning because I have the tall flowers in the front and the short flowers in the back.  It still looks pretty.  I have to decide what kind of gates to buy and they are so much money. But I need to finish before winter so I can keep Boomer in and other dogs out.

4TH OF JULY

Marrit and Kirt, Parker Brooklynn came to stay a couple of days.  The kids all celebrated the 4th and went to the parade and park.  I slept in knowing we would be partying in the evening.  We had some great food as usual and Michelle tried fresh corn on the grill.  Really good and we had tons to eat as usual.  We watched the fireworks from the patio and had a great time.

Gaye called and invited me to a movie.  Fun to get out and laugh with the girls.  My air conditioner in the house isn't working and I guess I'll have to call someone.  I think it blew a gasket this afternoon.  Boomer and I heard a very loud noise and went to investigate and couln't find anything that had fallen.  The air conditioner was running but no air was coming out and it was 78 degrees in here.  Shawn just came and is going to look at it.  I checked what I knew.  Sure am hoping I don't have to call someone.
