Crissy's dress she's beautiful!

Oh Brother, Oh Sister

March 26, 2011

Yah! pt is over and I don't have to hide from the pt guy. (I really didn't) but when Delcore said I was finished I was so happy. Mike said he's going to drag me to the gym but, that's good thing I guess.

It has snowed a little every day this week, I'm a little tired of winter. Marrit planted her flowers two or three weeks ago. Maybe we can plant in June/July. My tulips are coming up so they must think it's time for spring too.

I am walking pretty good now and decided Thursday it was time I got out of the house. Mike had to be home to watch BYU play ball so we weren't gone very long. He had never been to Big Lots so I dragged him in just to see what was there. He was surprised at what they had. Cheep! Cheep! furniture, but a good place to go for cards and wrapping paper. I spent two bucks on spices. Ha! and you didn't think I'd ever run out of Westside leftover spices. Believe it or not I didn't have oregano and we had tried a new recipe for Parmesan chicken with oregano. Then we went to have an ice cream so, total time killed three hours, total money spent five bucks. I'm such a cheap date.

Today I called Mona and she came down, she had to meet someone so I only got to talk to her for an hour. Definitely not enough time to really catch up but we tried. When she left I called Ed. So good to talk to him and see what everyone in his fam is doing. He's had a rough go after his knee surgery and had lost a lot of blood, complications from bleeding from his colon. (I think) We talked about keeping in touch better than we have in the past and one of us, Ed, I think suggested a Twitchell Family Blog. He is going to ask Heather to start it. I think that would be great because everyone could post and read when they had a minute. Blogging is such a good thing and a great journal to keep. I need to get this one run off and put it in with my other journal.

Michelle and I went shopping yesterday and bought material for Crissy and Walker a quilt. Wish I could quilt it, but we are going to tie it. I think it will look really good.

Well love to all my family..................................................

Do you remember these?

Do you remember these?
I think these buildings may not be familiar to my kids. But who knows maybe someone older will read this. Grandpa Hulet taught in both buildings, I had him for my 7th grade home room teacher in the Jr. High School (left). He taught in the High School then changed to the Jr. High or Middle School as a team teacher which he loved. Lots of good memories and lot of wonderful friends.

Just Thinkin

Just thinkin; Do you think the wind could blow any harder? Do ya think I'm ever going to get this knee to bend as far as it needs to? Do ya think I can make it through this whole pt thing.? Ya, my pt guy killed me today and I don't ever want to see him again. I've spent the whole day with ice on my knee and downing pain pills. Maybe I won't answer the phone and I'll muzzle Boomer.

Just thinkin about my Kindle and the books I wouldn't have read if they weren't free on Amazon. I'm reading Moby Dick and it's such a different style of writing I am enjoying it. I also read Dracula, The Naked Gardener and Treasure Island. I want to read Treasure Island to my grandkids. I really liked, The Apothocarys Daughter and also The Hangmans Daughter, (Not sisters) haha I have read so much and I have down loaded a bunch more to read. Marrit sent me a Kindle Gift card and I bought my scriptures and The Unbroken with that money. I really liked the Unbroken and no I haven't started reading the BOM yet. But I will, I think it has the listening feature. Just thinkin.

Family and Reflections

BAC Campus (We've come a long way)

March 6-9 2011
Marrit and kids came up, what fun grandkids are. Brooklynn snuggled up on her Grammy's lap and said "tico tico" she loves her back tickled and will hold still as long as you will keep tickling. She is potty trained, daytime and mostly night. For a two year old that is a wonderful thing. They were in Beaver and Brooklynn took Justice to the potty and taught her to go. Heidi was a happy mom. I can see it now, "Potty Trainer for Rent" she could make college money. She is fiesty and sweet all at the same time. She teases Parker until he breaks down and whaps her. He told his Mom he wanted a brother and could he please have one that was four.
Parker was a love and spent most of his time playing Crash. Sure glad Grandpa and I have something the kids like. We are down to one remote and Marrit tried to find one on Ebay and Gamestop. She bid on a Playstation 2 and got it so we went to Gamestop to buy another remote. Wow two remote controls! We think about buying a game but the kids love Crash and they don't have it anymore. It snowed while they were here and so we were pretty well stuck in the house. But I enjoyed their visit so much.
Friday March 11, 2011
Scott and Lindy came up today, it was so good to see them. Mike and Scott went golfing and we called Michelle and went to Pizza Factory. I haven't been out to lunch or for that matter out of the house for so long. It was so fun to get out and pizza and salad hit the spot.
Reflections
Beau and Tianna had their baby boy. He has a heart problem and we are all saying our prayers for their family. They had a miracle to begin with when a cardiologist from Primary Childrens Hospital read his echo and identified more than a murmur and had him flown to Primary Childrens. That cardiologist only goes to Idaho Falls once a month.
I remember having my babies and the miracles time and again that saved them and some that saved me. I am in awe of how many babies are born perfect and I am in awe of the advances of medicine. Most of all I am in awe of the love our Heavenly Father has for each one of us.
Da Leg
I am coming along, still a lot of hesitation with trusting the knee. My leg is strong and I am now doing wall slides. Not from choice. I had such a bad experience last year, but I feel more trusting of Grant (my pt guy). He seems to be firm but quiet and he talks me into relaxing and I believe I do much better without being killed. Not that he doesn't force the knee, he does, but he tells me that he's going to before hand. And he does make me cry and I do let it be known at times.
I will be so happy to have this all behind me. I have to keep looking at the scar to remind myself that it was a big surgery and that I had big problems other than my knee that put me back a week. I just want to go riding my four wheeler.
Enough for today. Love you all and health to everyone . Summer will be here before we know it.

Reading READING and R E A D I N G

Love my Kindle, love that it can take me away from the slow process of getting my knee better and love that I take a slim volume full of books to read anywhere anytime. If it weren't for my books I would be completely nuts. I have been stuck at home for sooo long. Marrit is coming on Sunday and maybe she will take me away for a while.

Mike has been a wonderful nurse, cook and house cleaner. It's time I stepped up to the plate and helped him more. I have helped some but today I tried to help more whew! Sweat sweat..So tomorrow I will get my nose out of my Kindle and try to help more. I am so glad I've past that 3 week mark, 3 more weeks and I should really be trunkin along.

Thanks to my kids who call and come to check on me. I love you all. Mom
